Gent1e $oul keeps evolving his dancefloor meta with "Block Printing", the sixth release on Fast Castle. This DLC consists of 5 stripped down, effective takes on UK Bass, Dubstep, Grime and Baile - excellent for outright late game domination. The vinyl comes in hand-crafted sleeves produced in an ancient woodblock printing method on a manually operated, pre-industrialisation printing press.

Gent1e $oul further distills his style by fusing different sonic spheres and bass music styles across “Block Printing''s chapters: Profoundly effective 4-bar grime meets transparent electro breaks on “Heated Shot”, whose hi-tek sounds are forcing early reactions from the floor. “Siege Ramm” is a techno steppers hybrid that packs the punch to keep your opponents stuck in the dark ages forever. “Woads” channels baile cues into a rigid, progressive club cut, while on the B-Side “Fortified Walls” offers UK Techno meets dembow deepness. Rounding off the proceedings, Rolex3k makes here exec. producer debut with a feature on “Turtle Ship”, a deeper-than-deep dub stepper.

"Block Printing"’s cover, conceived by Fast Castle’s visual mastermind Jonas, is our most ambitious artwork project to date. It depicts an emblematic circle monograph hinting at prehistoric scenes and ancient legends. Special care went into the production of the DIY-printed record sleeves: Individually crafted on an ancient 1820s mechanical press and printed in a block printing technique from a laser cut wood negative, each of the edition-of-200 vinyl copies is a one-of-a-kind artefact to worship and rinse repeatedly.
